Alone

This also came to me when reading Joan of Arc in the part where the Paladin and Noel and the other men from Dromremy go into the attic in search of a ghost in a closed off room. As they are standing and listening they begin to hear a moan which causes them all to think one thing and one thing only: Fear of being alone in a dark room with a ghost. PLEASE tell me what you think even if you don't like it as long as the criticism is constructive and not just 'i hate your poem' because that doesn't help me write better ones. I highly reccomend reading that book BTW.

Alone

As the thoughts narrow the emotions of
the lonliness, which rushes throught the
passes of the individual mind, and the skin
which buns in the blazing heat and fire
being spit forth and
sizzling of lamps that illuminate the toil

The one who sits with absene of presence
and the cold dank thoughts like
the dungeons of the ancient ruined lands of
desolate terror and the beast which
roams and pilages and feasts on he
that is the innocent wandering passerby

But when the sentence is served
and the shackles that kill freedom
are broken with a crack,
the one who was chaffed will walk
our to the amazement of those
that thought alone.
